Christmas will be forever different now!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year and I think its only going to get better. I would have been perfectly happy with Wynter as my gift this year, but I have an awesome husband and family that spoiled us rotten. We are so blessed and lucky to have both of our families so close. We spent Christmas Eve with my family and Chrsitmas Day with Jason's.
Jason suprised me with this beautiful piece of furniture for our entry way. I started snooping about a month ago. No wonder I couldn't find it;-) LOL! I was completely suprised and to top it off he place a dozen roses on it! I love my husband!
Christmas with the Adams is awesome. They have some pretty cool games that we can't wait to play every year;-) Wynter got a baby monitor from Santa. She is going to LOVE that;-) This year for Christmas Dave and Cherie are taking us to Hawaii in January. I don't know how much of a vacation its going to be, but I know it will be one memorable trip.
It sure is fun to go through and share all these new mom experiences with my sister in law Karly. Wynter loves her older cousin Ben. I really do think they still remember each other from the other side. Wynter smiles when ever we talk a bout Ben to her.

I can't believe it's already been 3 weeks!

Wow...time goes by fast with a newborn. You have no idea how you are gonna survive then all of sudden you realize you've made it 3 weeks on 63 hours of sleep! I think I may have a little help from above;-) So after the jaundice, Wynter never did quite make it back to her birth weight. So last week with her weighing 7lbs 8oz, my goal was to get her to 7lbs 10oz in a week. Seems simple in theory. Ahh...no, she didn't gain one ounce in a week. How is that even possible? So now my day is consumed with her eating. A bottle of formula, then about 10 minutes on me, then pump, then do it all over again. Poor thing can't get to sleep now her belly is so bloated, so that means no sleep for me either;-)
She sure is a lot of fun though and sooo cute! She changes everyday to me and gets more and more alert. I love how she just gazes up at the ceiling or straight into my eyes. She's pretty aware of my voice too. I love watching her turn her head side to side to find what direction I'm in.

Here is a picture of the nursery. It's so pretty and peaceful. Jason painted the stripes on the wall and I painted her crib a warm silver color. I had a lot of help from friends and family with the nursery too. Thank you Karly for the bumper pad and thank you Danya for the curtains. I love having crafty domestic women in my life.

So cute, she found her thumb. I don't know if that's a good thing, but its cute and keeps her quiet until I'm ready to feed her.

So I needed to make sure that my little dancer was comfy in a tutu. We did a little photo shoot, she wasn't too thrilled about it.

I love blue so I couldn't wait to put this little outfit on her. LOL! She looked like a little boy so I threw on some pink socks.

Karly is so nifty. She made Christmas PJs for all the kids. We took them over to Nana's house to get a picture in front of her beautiful tree. LOL! Yeah right, that went well.

Finally...something to blog about!

So not a lot had happened since my last post. Just they rest of the summer with me getting bigger and bigger. But...Jason and I finally have some exciting news. We are the proud new parents of the sweetest little girl, Wynter Rose Adams. Yes, yes, Wynter came early for Jason and I, and surprisingly I'm very happy about it.
November 27th, 2009 at 1:32 am I was able to hold my little girl in my arms. I had spent most of Thanksgiving day in pain with back labor up at Jason's parents house. By the time we returned home, I couldn't take too much more and was crying through nearly every contraction. I told Jason I have to go to the hospital even if its just to get some morphine. Luckily I was dilated to a 3 and they didn't make me leave. I had an epidural about an hour later and started feeling great! Jason called Grandma Eubanks and Nana to come to the hospital. About 3 hours and 3 pushes later Wynter was here. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that doesn't have a horror story about the labor and delivery. I can't imagine ever forgetting the pain of the back labor though;-) Enjoy some pics, I will be posting more!

Jason found the whole delivery thing very interesting actually. He watched the whole thing and nervously cut the umbilical cord.

First family photo. Wow...that's an attractive picture;-)

We took Wynter home Saturday evening. So sad, she was jaundice and had to be on the lights for 3 days. She actually really didn't mind her little tanning bed. I think it was harder on mommy than her. She is doing much better now and slowly losing her tan (yellowness).

I'm wondering if Wynter is going to a mommies girl or a daddy's girl;-) Jason is in love with her. He is already so amazing with her and LOVES holding her.

I love how eager Jason is to dive into daddy duties! He gave Wynter her first bath, but we didn't capture it:-( However, I did get some shots of the first changings. Jason's first diaper was massive. LOL! I still laugh when I think of that thing and how perfect it was that it was his first one. She didn't take it easy on her daddy at all. But he was a total trooper!

She's not too sure about the bows either:-) Thank goodness she has hair!

She for sure looks like me. I saw my nose in the ultrasound pic and the minute I held her I saw me. Not too sure what the hair is going to do yet though.

Oh yeah...I forgot about this thing;-)

Ok, so update part 2! I promise I'm gonna get better at this. If blogs are the thing you are suppose to do when you get married, it's for sure the thing you do when you are having a baby!!! Jason and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary in June. We are expecting our first baby, a little girl the beginning of December. Yeah, we don't mess around! It's pretty exciting watching the Adams Family grow right before our eyes. Within the last year and half we got married, Mindie and Kevin had their second little girl (Halle), Danny and Karly had their first a little boy (Ben)and now we are just awaiting the arrival of our new addition (?).
So as you can see a lot has happened. I'll post some pictures of some of the fun we've had this summer. It's hard to believe it's almost over. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda ready for Wynter (oops, I mean winter) to come. I need to get better at the picture taking thing. But I'll admit, I've been a little uncooperative with getting my picture taken during this glorious and most attractive nine months:-)

Earlier this spring, Jason and I went on cruise. We flew to Miami and then explored the Bahamas for four days. We had a great time although I wouldn't have minded bagging the ship and just staying at our amazing condo in Miami or the beautiful Atlantis resort the whole time.

My friend let us stay at his "rental" property in Miami for a couple nights before we took off for the Bahamas. This was the view of Miami from the condo.

That's just a couple snap shots of our pimped out penthouse. You too could be a guest at this condo for a mere $20,000/month. Just let me know if you are interested, I'll hook ya up with him;-)

There was a lot of work and a lot of play this summer. Jason slaved away on the yard and I am so thankful to say we now have a beautiful yard. There were so many people who had shown up to help lay sod, we had the whole thing done in about 2 hours. We did however manage to make it boating a few times, golfing a couple times, and even a little four wheeling.
Just finished the yard! As my brother Logan would say...Instant "grassification"
Jason's daily excerise...long boarding down our hill.
The back ho has been a permanent fixture in our yard. However, you won't hear my nieces and nephews complain. Visiting uncle Jason means a back ho ride.
Do you think Maddie knows she has her Uncle Jason wrapped around her finger?

During the summer one of Jason's bestest buddies, Josh Whitney got married in Tahoe. Jason and the guys headed to Tahoe and I headed to Denver to visit some of my girls.

The happy new couple, Josh Whitney and his beautiful bride Marissa.

We are so happy for you two!

The groom and the best man (at least I think he is)
The guys!

I'm so grateful for the wonderful family and friends we have. Both a sister-in-law and one of my greatest friends were pregnant with me. Both of them have already had their extremely handsome sons. Lucky them, they both went 3 weeks early! It was way fun to have joint showers with them. I'll have to post more pics when I have them.

Jason and I just got back from Philadelphia. Lucky us, we have a friend who plays for the Eagles and we were able to go out and watch a game. Thank you Kevin for hooking it up and letting us stay with you. We had a lot of fun seeing the sights and enjoyed the beautiful weather at the game. Too bad they lost:-(
